Polyester pipes and accessories

The manufacture of GRP pipes is a process that uses polyester resin, fiberglass and components as raw materials, transforming these materials to obtain the GRP pipe.

POLTRAFIC LIGHT S.L. focuses on the manufacturing process of: Helical winding (the resin impregnates the fiber that is rolled up in the mold until the desired thickness is obtained); and the manual process (the fibers are applied to the mold and are soaked in resin).

The advantages of these tubes compared to traditional materials are several, such as: they have a long life, they are anticorrosive and resistant to high pressure and abrasion. In addition, its smooth interior means that there is minimal friction, and less accumulation of moss, so less water pumping is necessary. These benefits make its application occur in pipelines and networks of all types of water (treatment plants, desalination plants, irrigation…) in industries (chemical, engineering, food…) and in maritime areas (sections of seawater, cooling towers …).

These pipes have no problem joining them with other materials to solve repairs or replace pipes in poor condition. POLTRAFIC LIGHT S.L. has all kinds of joints: welded, with flange and snail or with clamps.
